Lets work together to keep Motor Avenue beautiful by caring for the trees along the street. Our Tree Planting Program has been a huge success thus far, and we want to keep the trees healthy. Councilmember Paul Koretz at the Farmers Market

Councilmember Koretz held Sidewalk Office Hours at the Motor Avenue Farmers Market on Sunday, March 23. He spent time speaking with constituents about their issues and concerns. The Councilmember also enjoyed a burger and many other things that the Farmers Market has to offer. We greatly appreciate the Councilmember's attendance and we plan to have him back at the Farmers Market soon.

Business Spotlight

The Irish Times, a long time member of the Motor Avenue Improvement Association, celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Irish bands, a bagpiper and traditional Irish breakfast. Even if you missed the holiday celebration, you can stop by the the Irish Times for a true pub experience everyday of the week at 3267 Motor Avenue.

Crime Alert

On March 22, two individuals attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill at My Baby Jo and numerous other businesses along Motor Avenue. When they were questioned, they quickly fled the store. Using security cameras installed through MAIA's Safe and Secure Neighborhood Program, these individuals can be clearly identified. Businesses along Motor Avenue should to be aware of these individuals and have the means to identify and validate large bills.

If you would like to have additional security for your own business, our program can provide you with security cameras for a reduced cost. Our partner, CCTV Net Installer, will secure your business with affordable cameras. Several businesses along Motor Avenue have already taken advantage of this opportunity and installed security cameras using our program.

Avoid the Ticket Trap!

Have you gotten a ticket at the intersection of Motor and National? The police continue to trap drivers with expensive tickets. MAIA does its best to warn drivers on their morning commute, but you can voice your concerns about the unjust ticket trap by contacting your local officials:
