Tour de Fox

2020 Team Rowland Ride

October 3, 2020 at Oak Mountain State Park

A socially distanced bike ride will take place at Oak Mountain State Park on October 3rd to benefit Parkinson's research and the Michael J. Fox Foundation. And Team Rowland would love for you to join them!
Team Rowland, which started as a small group of family and friends looking for a way to join the fight against PD, has participated in the Tour de Fox Atlanta in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for the past 3 years.  Last year they brought together 40 riders from all over the country to help eradicate PD.
This year, the Foundation has designated the Tour as a “Virtual Ride.”  Participants can ride any distance, anywhere.  A number of individuals have decided to go “virtual together” (socially distanced of course), but anyone can participate from anywhere.  And, 100% of the money raised goes directly to life-changing research that WILL find a cure.
Here’s how you can help:
  • Ride with Team Rowland
  • Pick your challenge -- Choose from rides of 5, 10, 15, or 30 miles
  • Not quite comfortable being around people yet?  That's ok!  You can ride from anywhere!
  • Come cheer on Team Rowland
  • Show your support for Team Rowland's efforts to Eradicate Parkinson’s Disease
  • Or, donate and encourage your friends to donate as well

Please go to the Team Rowland Page
Click on the “Join our Team” link to Register.
** Sorry, road courses only – The mountain biking trails will be closed that day for another event.

Personalized car tag for Parkinson's
The PAA submitted the application for a Parkinson's Disease license plate through the Alabama Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Division (MVD).  Once the application is approved, the PAA will have one year to obtain a pre-commitment of 250 tag purchases to move forward.

Are you aware that as much as $45 of your $50 tag fee will directly support the PAA?  We hope you will consider purchasing the PAA Specialty License Plate when it is available.

Please assist the PAA by completing our survey pertaining to the PAA's Vehicle License Plate project at

We will keep you updated on this project through our monthly newsletters!
