How Sound Financial Planning Can Guide Families Through the Complexity of a Long-Term Care Event
Thursday, September 24, 2020, 2:00 p.m. CT

Long-term care events can be complex to navigate and take a significant emotional and financial toll on families and their loved ones needing care.  Sound financial planning can help reduce stress and anxiety by equipping everyone involved with the knowledge and confidence to handle the challenges they encounter with such an event.  This webinar will present the elements of a sound financial plan, including longevity planning, and several common pitfalls to avoid.

***  NEW  SUPPORT  GROUP   ***

PD  HELPMATES

As the wife of a husband with Parkinson’s Disease (PD), I know the daily challenges we face. When everything is normal, it is difficult to maneuver through all the tasks required to live as regular a life as possible. Now that we are isolated due to the Covid-19 virus, it is even more demanding to have limited to no support while we face this “new normal” of staying safe.

This led me to start a virtual support group for wives and companions of a PD loved one. This group will meet on Zoom the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. The first Zoom group will be on September 8, 2020. It is an open group for us to talk about things happening with us and to provide information, ideas, and support to each other.

To join on Zoom just type in the ID: 205-835-4074; the password: 205-835-4074 and you are in the group. Should you have questions, feel free to email Vevelyn Peterson Wilson at  vevelyn.wilson@yahoo.com.
