FICPI BULLETIN
11 June 2020
A DIFFERENT KIND OF FICPI OPEN FORUM WILL INFORM AND ENTERTAIN – WHILE KEEPING YOU SAFE
Dear Friends,

The 2020 FICPI Open Forum is not going to take place this year in its usual format; however, we are excited to share that we will be gathering the FICPI global community together in a very different way.

What will not change is a great line-up of speakers addressing a thought-provoking and entertaining array of topics.

As usual, there will be opportunities to connect and get to know your fellow members of the FICPI community.

What is new is that you can attend the events while wearing your pyjamas and drinking from your favourite coffee mug.

You can even have your dog join you.

Due to concerns about the safety of members during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to cancel the original plan to host an event in Cannes, France, from 7th to 10th October this year.

All registration and room fees will be automatically reimbursed.

Of course, we will all miss getting together in person.

Once it is safe to do so, we will return to hosting great meetings in enjoyable locations. There will be an Open Forum in Cannes in 2022 and we will watch developments with the pandemic carefully to judge when to host other events.

In the meantime, we are planning initiatives to replace the Cannes Open Forum, plans that include many of the speakers who would have attended the event.

One option is  a series of presentations, workshops and meetings delivered via webinars to enable you to learn, develop your practice and connect with fellow members - all from the comfort of your own desk, thanks to the power of technology.

We are talking to speakers and looking at formats, topics and dates and will have more news in the near future.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact secretariat@ficpi.org.

Best wishes
