First Edition D&D Re-prints!

Wizards of the Coast is offering a limited time re-print of the original Dungeons & Dragons books! Available in hardcover, the set will feature the Dungeon Master's Guide, the Player's Handbook, and the Monster Manual, with all-new commemorative artwork on the covers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these reprints go towards the Gygax Memorial Fund, to honor the "father of roleplaying games", Gary Gygax, with a statue in Lake Geneva, WI.

Exciting D&D News!

As announced in the New York Times and the official Wizards of the Coast website, a new edition of Dungeons & Dragons is under development! Labyrinth Games & Puzzles has been chosen to participate in play-testing the new game, so stay tuned for more details!

Two-Player Games!

Looking for a game that's just right for two players? We've got a good selection of classic strategy games like backgammon to more recent card games like Lost Cities and Jaipur that are suited best to two players! If card games aren't your forte, there's also a good selection of more in-depth Euro-style boardgames that play well with two players, such as Thurn & Taxis, Carcassonne, Asara, Roll Through the Ages, and Caylus.

Thursday Game Nights

Every Thursday, 6pm - 10pm

It's a party every Thursday at your favorite local game store!

Word Game Night - The first Thursday of every month will be dedicated to your favorite word games! Scrabble, Bananagrams, Lexigo, Boggle, and more!

Party Game Night - The second Thursday of the month is a riot of party and social games, from the beloved Apples to Apples to newcomers like Dixit and Crappy Birthday.

European Board Game Night - The third Thursday remains our most popular game night. In partnership with DC Game Night, we play all your favorite Euro-style board games! Recent favorites include 7 Wonders, Thurn & Taxis, and Coloretto.

Abstract Strategy Night - The fourth Thursday of the month is dedicated to classic games of strategy, like chess and go. We are happy to teach beginners!

No need to RSVP to any of the Thursday Game Nights, but seating is limited so try to come early!

Join us for the Dark Ascension Launch Party on Friday, February 3! The format is booster draft, and the seating is first-come-first-serve. We will be holding two more Dark Ascension/Innistrad booster drafts on Friday, Feb. 10 and 24. All Friday Night Magic Events start promptly at 6pm! We hope to see you there!

Summoner Wars Demo!

A Taste of Storybuilding with Daniel Solis!

Murder at Mardi Gras: A Masked Murderer Unveiled!

There’s mystery afoot on Capitol Hill – the Krewe of Midas’ King Pierre DuPre has been strangled with a set of Mardi Gras beads. It’s time for all party revelers to discover the truth about his demise!

This event follows our extremely successful Halloween murder mystery event. It is a "mix and mingle" event, and each attendee will have a "character" and clues to share with other guests. Festival carnival garb is encouraged!

A Taste of Catan: Oil Springs!

Friday, March 2, 6pm-10pm

Join us for an evening of the new Settlers of Catan scenario! Learn the new rules and play with the designers, Erik Assadourian of the Worldwatch Institute and game designer Ty Hansen.  The new scenario features a new resource, oil, which (with its use and consequences) highlights the challenging topic of sustainability and climate change. Don’t miss out on this fun opportunity to experience a classic board game in a new way.  Will you and others risk destroying the island of Catan in order to win the game?
