Labyrinth Live on Twitch

One of the things we're the most excited about going forward is that Labyrinth now has a Twitch channel! Twitch is a live streaming app that allows us to both stream live videos as well as interact with you! We had a lot of fun streaming our Celebration of Gaming events as Team Staff battled Team Kathleen, and now we have a regular rotation of live events every week.

On Wednesdays we will be going live from 5:30-6:30pm for our Labyrinth Gameschooling class! We know online learning can be tough on both children and parents, and there are so many games and puzzles we sell that can enhance learning from home. Join Kathleen and some of our educational team each week as they explore a different subject and which games you can use to supplement your child's learning.

Each Thursday we will be recreating our Open Board Game Night as the staff will be live streaming a new board game each week. From light party games to heavy strategic games we will be switching up the type of game and often letting you vote on what you want to see the next week! We will try to have giveaways and special guests when we can, and would love for you to join and chat with us as we play.

Every other Sunday we will be having Role Playing Game Sundays! We will be showing off a new element of RPG's, including playing different systems and having discussions on different RPG topics. Our first event is Sunday, September 13th as Kathleen, Camilla, and other staff members will be playing the new box set of Fiasco. On September 27th we will be having a discussion all about world building techniques for new GM's who want to make their own custom campaign. With your help and input we will also be building a world that we will use in a future RPG Sunday Live Stream event!

All streams are also being recorded and are available for viewing on Twitch for a few days after the broadcast and on our YouTube channel one week after broadcast. Check out the streams we've already done here: https://www.youtube.com/user/LabyrinthGameShop/videos

Labyrinth After School

Every weekday at 4:00pm

As the school year starts all of us at Labyrinth are incredibly sad that we're not doing our after school game clubs at various local schools. Teaching fun and educational games to local kids is one of our favorite things to do, so we have tried to transition some of that online!

Every weekday in September we will be hosting a Labyrinth After School event at 4:00pm. We have taken some of our most popular events from this past summer and added a few new ones.
The schedule of events will remain the same each week and is as follows:

Monday: Guild of Heroes (Kids' Dungeons and Dragons)
Tuesday: Kids' Magic the Gathering: Casual Commander tournament
Wednesday: Pokémon Hangout
Thursday: Kids' Game Club (You don't need to own the game.)
Friday: Pokémon Hangout AND Guild of Heroes (Kids' D&D)

These events are all one-off events, so you must sign up for each event you would like to participate in each week. The best way to find these events is to use our online calendar.

In October, we'll also be hosting a Kids' Dungeons and Dragons 5-week campaign game on Saturday evenings. Watch our calendar for more details.

MTG: Zendikar Rising

The next Magic: The Gathering set is upon us, Zendikar Rising! Magic returns to the land of Zendikar with dangerous terrain and hostile predators. A new mechanic called "party" will have you collecting creatures based on the classes of Rogues, Wizards, Clerics, and Warriors to give you different effects and advantages based on how many creatures you have in your party.

We unfortunately can't hold any prerelease events in store, but we will be holding them online! On September 20th and 22nd we will be running two Zendikar prerelease events using our Discord channel as well as SpellTable to facilitate the games.

Zendikar also introduces a new product, called Set Boosters. Set Boosters aren't meant to be drafted, they are built specifically for those collectors that love opening packs. Each booster includes at least 1 foil and 1 full art land card. 1 in 4 boosters will also include a card from "The List", a group of reprints from Magic's history.

The full release date for Zendikar Rising is September 25th, with preorders available on our webstore now! Prerelease packs, draft booster boxes, and collector booster boxes will be available as a prerelease early sale on September 18th, beginning when the store opens at 12pm.

Prerelease Details:
Sunday Prerelease: Sunday, September 20th. 4-8pm Register here
Tuesday Prerelease: Tuesday, September 22nd. 6-10pm Register here
(Cost of registration includes a prerelease pack and prize support.)

Learn to Play MTG Live on Twitch

If you've been curious about getting into Magic the Gathering but didn't know where to start, we are live streaming a Learn to Play session on our Twitch Channel! Join us on September 12th as Kathleen and the Labyrinth Magic team walk you through the basics of the game as well as introduce some of the new mechanics from Zendikar Rising.

You can find more information here, and our Twitch channel is located here.

Connect With Labyrinth

During this time of change, we here at Labyrinth have tried to come up with as many ways as possible to stay connected to you!
  • Twitch: To help facilitate our new virtual events we are now using the Twitch platform to live stream videos! Multiple times a week we will be live streaming events from in the store. We encourage you to watch along live and participate in our chat! You can find our Twitch channel here. If you can't join us live, the videos will be uploaded to our YouTube page exactly one week after the live video.

  • Discord: We also have an official Labyrinth Discord server! Discord is an app used for communities to stay connected and engaged online. Our Labyrinth server has many different channels you can participate in, including specific channels for Role Playing Games, Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, and more! Additionally, many of our online events use discord as the main way of communication as the event is happening. You can join our discord server here!

  • Social Media: We are continuing to update our social media daily to give you an idea of all the new games and puzzles we have in stock as well as updates on all our online events. You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Labyrinth's eBay Store

Our Used Game Sale is one of our absolute biggest events every summer. With COVID-19 happening we didn't think it would be responsible to be accepting and selling everyone's used games at this time. Beginning on September 24, we will however be selling some of our Demo Library which includes games and puzzles that we have duplicates of or games we no longer carry in the store. We also have a select number of games donated to the store before COVID-19 that we will be auctioning off as well. At this time, we will not be accepting any games on consignment like during the Used Game Sale.

Each eBay auction will run for a week and a half, starting on Thursday nights at 6pm and ending Sunday at 6pm. If you win the auction you may pick up locally from our store or have them shipped to you for an extra fee. New games and puzzles will be added weekly!

All items up for auction benefit our teachers fund, which helps local schools acquire games and puzzles for use in the classroom.

Our eBay store can be found here.
