The novel provided a voice for Anglican women to explore matters of faith and their relationship to the Church. This day will look at the work of selected authors from this perspective, particularly that of Dame Rose Macaulay and P.D. James.

This study day covers the range of interpretations of the Jesus story as portrayed in film and how film depicts biblical stories and themes, from the 1950s Hollywood biblical epics to the contemporary revival of the genre.

The story of St Beuno has many comparisons with our situation today. We will investigate some underlying themes of Beuno’s ministry and look at how they provide insights for strategies for mission in the church today.
