Stewards of the Earth Exhibition


Thursday 5 September to Friday 6 December 2013


As the debate over humankind's role in the natural world rages on, our fascination with it remains constant.
 
Contributing artists include: Sheona Beaumont (Blue Planet pictured right), Mark Cazalet, Chris Drury, Robyn Golden-Hann, Sophie Hacker, Tim Harrison, Tracey Sheppard and Roger Stephens.
The exhibition programme includes three public lectures.
  • Stewards of Creation? Humans and the Demands of Sustainable Developments  Thurs 10 October at 7pm with Hadrian Cook, environmental scientist and consultant
  • Led by the Land  Wed 23 October at 7pm with Kim Wilkie, Hampshire-based landscape architect
  • Sex and the Planet: A Christian Perspective on Population and Sustainability  Sat 2 November at 5pm with John Guillebaud, professor of Family Planning and Reproductive Health at University College London

Timothy Beardson

Talk and Book Launch

Timothy Beardson, Honorary Fellow of Sarum College will be signing copies and talking about his new book 'Stumbling Giant: The Threats to China’s Future'.

Timothy is a financier living principally in Hong Kong. He speaks frequently to governments, universities, boards and central banks on economic and strategic issues.

Come to Sarum for a weekend of discovery in this beautiful medieval city, with talks and guided visits around the historic Close, the Cathedral and surrounds. Includes dinner in a private home within the Cathedral Close and coincides with Heritage Open Days.
