Have you noticed that our website is a little old? We have too.
Communicating well with you is essential to our work, and we’re excited to have one place to share information about real estate development, land use, Living Green in Creston, community events and all the things that are important to you.
A neighborhood donor donated funds for the bulk of the website costs, and volunteers are providing photography and writing. We’re looking for donors to help carry us to the finish line. The new site will make CNA more accessible, will all information in one place.
Can you help?

Wonder what they think about the challenges we face, like housing affordability, gun violence and safe policing, serious income inequality and economic development? Check out a candidate forum to learn more:

Remedy for STOLEN PACKAGES
We’ve seen a number of complaints about packages stolen from porches.
If you order from Amazon you can opt to have it delivered to a locker. As of this writing, the two locker locations closest to Creston are: Family Fare at 1415 E. Fulton St. and the Breton Village D & W at 1814 Breton SE.
The way this works is that you should receive a text when your package arrives and a combination number that opens that locker. You can follow the tracking, just like you would for a package being delivered to your home.
Would you like to send a few of your pennies back to Creston? Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchase to Creston Neighborhood Association when you sign up through smile.amazon.com. Every little bit helps CNA!
The City of Grand Rapids Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for feedback for improvements to Riverside Park. They have received a lot of community input, but you can still share your ideas here until Friday, July 19.
The US Rowing Masters National Championship is returning to Grand Rapids:
August 14-18, 2019 at Riverside Park.
We hope you will come to experience the exciting racing, enjoying the vendors and beer garden, or even volunteering (see positions here: https://signup.com/go/gmxCcDg)!
To help everyone prepare for this event we’d like to host a meeting with the Creston neighborhood. Please come to a brief meeting on Monday, August 5th at 7pm at Boat Launch 1 (Knapp Street). We will discuss the event schedule, what to expect as a neighbor, and steps we are taking to minimize the impact on your neighborhood. If you are unable to attend and have questions, feel free to reach out to Katy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
