Candlelight Christian Fellowship in Coeur d'Alene wants to say thank you to first responders and will be hosting a Meal-To-Go for all those on the front lines on Friday, January 15, starting at 11am. If you are a first responder, whether you're on duty or not, take a moment to stop by and grab a safely-packaged meal in the parking lot.

Where: Candlelight Christian Fellowship, 5725 N Pioneer Dr, CDA
When: Friday, January 15
Time: 11am-2:30pm

We appreciate all our men and women in the line of duty and want to give back for all you do.

Two quick personal notes: CDA Chief of Police Lee White has declined Candlelight's invitation to participate in the free meal stating "we're in Stage 2." I was under the impression that police still eat during Stage 2, but if any police officer who'd like let me know how they maintain sustenance without eating during Stage 2 please contact me. This is me going out on a limb, but I'm pretty sure if any CDA officer who'd like to stop by and grab a safely-packaged meal to take with them they won't be turned away at Candlelight.

Also, my house is still without power and won't be back on until Saturday evening, at the earliest. These mails are going to be a little slower due to internet issues so I'll apologize in advance for the sporadic mails. Here's a picture of ONE of the downed lines in our surrounding neighborhood, I know of at least TWO downed lines that is making it a pain for Avista to get us back up and running quickly. We are fine, just having first world technology problems, but it's a good reminder that we do live in a fabulous country that hardly ever has these kinds of issues.
