Happy Legislative Restart Day!

Today is the first day back for our Idaho Legislature after two weeks off due to the Dems trying to figure out how they got C0vid after wearing 2 masks at a time. I kid…sort of. Lol Although the last 2 weeks have been a nice break, it’s hard to swallow the fact that the Legislature would be done by now if they would have continued like an actual body of government.
Whatever, it’s done now and our representatives are back.
Here’s today’s list of bills that are on the agenda to be debated and voted upon in both sides, take a moment to peruse the list and get reacquainted with the process of bills, how they’re created and sent through the committees.

For a rehash of this process, check out my email where I discuss this here.
A little bit more locally, there is an important presentation happening this Saturday. The featured speaker is Christie Hutcherson, Founder of the Women Fighting for America, a “new movement that’s on the rise across this nation to bring back morality, biblical foundation, Constitution, and freedom into this nation.”. She brings with her a guest speakers that show us first-hand accounts of communist Czechoslovakia, the collapse of democracy in Venezuela, and its subsequent slide into socialist dictatorship.
Hutcherson said that her movement's primary goal is to illustrate the “two different visions our country is headed for.”
“America’s at a crossroads,” she said. “We’re either going to go down the line of Marxism, communism, chaos, destruction, defunding the police, or we are going to go down a road where we are founded in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, safety and security, pro-police, pro-gun, pro-Christianity (and) pro-God back in schools.”
I am sad to say that I will be missing this presentation, my daughter has a softball game at the same exact time, and I’m jealous of everyone who is able to attend. I am unclear about whether the presentation will be recorded or livestreamed, so I definitely recommend that you make this presentation a priority. Seating is limited but open to all, and I know that this event has been shared far and wide, so get to Candlelight early to claim your spot.
