Town Hall PLUS Educational Indoctrination Task Force First Look

We have a special treat for the Panhandle this Saturday as our wonderful Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin will be in Coeur d’Alene speaking in a town hall setting at Candlelight Christian Fellowship! Everyone is invited to attend and there will a portion set aside for some very special Q&A time.
Our Lt. Governor will be speaking about the state of the Legislature and her Education Indoctrination Task Force that she announced a few weeks ago. She is an avid proponent of educating our youngsters and a vocal opponent against funding higher education that allows critical race theory (among other things) into our state.

One special part of this town hall will be the Q&A section; she wants to hear your personal anecdotes about your experiences in the Idaho educational arena, whether it has been because of this last year or in prior years. She wants to hear about ALL types of education; homeschool education is just as important as public school or continuing education. The Lieutenant Governor understand that not everyone would like to share their stories in a public setting; from what I understand is that she will have an email address set up – or something like that – so you’ll be able to submit your stories anonymously. I’m assuming that she’ll give that information at the town hall so be on the lookout for that.
I feel like if anyone’s had as rough of 2020 as we did, she’s going to be inundated with anecdotes. Our personal story is filled with my poor children being forced to sit at a table all school year because their school refused to allow ANY mask exemptions to step foot on their grounds, psychological breakdowns because they have felt forgotten by their teachers/school administration, bullying by teachers for not wearing masks while being at functions OFF school grounds, etc. Not to mention I have sat at the table 95% of the time with my kids going through the same classes, learning the same things so that they have someone to discuss these topics with and help with homework because everyone else left them high and dry. We have decided that next year our kids will be homeschooled and it’s been an enormous weight lifted off our shoulders.
I have heard many stories about people’s educational frustrations/clarity/achievements and I hope you let Janice know about your experiences.
Just a small side note: there was a Legislative town hall scheduled for the same time and same place but that has been changed to May 8. More information will be added later.
Great news! I originally wasn’t going to make the town hall due to softball games but those have been rescheduled so I will also be there listening to the ever-amazing McGeachin. Please pass this along to whoever doesn’t get my emails so they have a chance to hear about the state of our state and the new education indoctrination task force!
