News and Reflections of and about Northwest Yearly Meeting
NWYM is a Christ-centered, discerning, inter-generational community of Friends, committed to discipleship and outreach to impact society locally and globally.
Luke 10 Think Tank
The Board of Global Outreach is arranging a Luke 10 Initiative Think Tank on March 27th, 2021 and would like as much participation from members throughout the  yearly meeting as possible, so we are looking for specific names of people who are willing to dream and vision with us as we seek God's leading and direction about the possibility of launching a new mission field in the future.

Our hope is for key local leaders and individuals to join us who are eager to see NWYM pursue missions and are willing to dream and discern the Lord's leading with us as a board.  Please prayerfully consider who in your church could participate in this process with us and send us the names and contact information of anyone you think might be willing to be part of this process.

Thank you for your prayerful participation in this part of the process,

The Board of Global Outreach

Spring & Summer Events Update
As a yearly meeting we are continuing to remain informed of safety guidelines related to COVID and will take these updates into account as we move forward with events planned for the spring and summer.  With this in mind, we are excited to have events on the calendar and will be sure to communicate updates to these events, as needed.
Save the Date, May 28-31, 2021!
Is there a youth in your church that demonstrates an interest to grow in their faith?  The focus of Samuel School is the formation of habits that will help students grow in their spiritual lives, apply Scripture to their age group, and engage in a meaningful relationship with at least one adult Christian in their church community in order to develop the student’s leadership abilities.

This retreat will be for junior and senior high students (Samuels), along with their mentor (the Eli), from their local church, as a reimagined way to invest in the "Growing Young" concepts discussed over the last few years in NWYM.  Samuels and Elis are selected by the local church elders with input from the youth leaders and pastor.  If you see a student in your church growing in their faith, please encourage your church elders to sponsor this student to attend Samuel School!

More details will be coming to the local church about this upcoming retreat, which will be held at Quaker Hill, in McCall, Idaho.
