As a yearly meeting we are continuing to remain informed of safety guidelines related to COVID and will take these updates into account as we move forward with events planned for the spring and summer. With this in mind, we are excited to have events on the calendar and will be sure to communicate updates to these events, as needed.

Is there a youth in your church that demonstrates an interest to grow in their faith? The focus of Samuel School is the formation of habits that will help students grow in their spiritual lives, apply Scripture to their age group, and engage in a meaningful relationship with at least one adult Christian in their church community in order to develop the student’s leadership abilities.
This retreat will be for junior high and senior high students (Samuels), along with their mentor (the Eli), from their local church, as a reimagined way to invest in the "Growing Young" concepts discussed over the last few years in NWYM. Samuels and Elis are selected by the local church elders with input from the youth leaders and pastor. If you see a student in your church growing in their faith, please encourage your church elders to sponsor this student to attend Samuel School!

Northwest Yearly Meeting Annual Sessions
|
|
Due to a variety of factors (principally related to the continuing ripple effects of Covid and venue availability), the decision has been made to offer our Annual Sessions 100% online this summer.
Among other things, this provides the added benefits once again of convenience and affordability so that everyone at the widest extremes of our Yearly Meeting (in terms of distance, time, jobs, and Covid considerations) will be able to participate. In addition, we aim to host “Watch Parties” in strategic Area Gatherings and local churches for each evening session, to allow for the potential of live interaction and personal fellowship (per state and regional guidelines).
Thom Rainer has agreed to serve as our main speaker. He is a prolific author of more than two dozen books, including: Scrappy Church (being read by several of our pastors and churches this year), I am a Church Member, Autopsy of a Deceased Church, and Anatomy of a Revived Church. His newest book is very timely: The Post-Quarantine Church.
Watch for more information soon about the schedule, workshops, and how to register.
