Friends Women's Retreat Recap
SHINE! Where You Are --- 2020 (first ever) Virtual Version of Friends' Women Retreat took place on October 3-9.

The retreat was planned in such a way that most of the opportunities could be scheduled to fit even a busy schedule across the week, while several opportunities were made for "real-time" personal visits, conversation, and prayer. Presenters gave of their time and talent, offering guidance in diverse areas such as Bible Study methods, Ministry in India, Bible Journaling, Painting, How-To Shine as a disciple of Christ, Cupcake Decorating...and even Zumba! Daily prize giveaways added to the fun! Since this was a virtual event, people were invited to share the view from their window, their painting experience (pictured above), and other choice bits o' fun.

While the fun was in high gear, we were also collecting funds to purchase a projector for the discipling ministry in India. The fundraising exceeded expectations and we were also able to contribute to the ministry's general support, all through Evangelical Friends Mission. Special thanks to all who made this fine event happen! And a grand thanks to God for allowing us the opportunity to gather together even in such a time as this.
Highlights for So. Idaho Youth
On Saturday, Sept. 26th, youth from Caldwell Friends, Greenleaf Friends, Meridian Friends, Star Friends, and Whitney Friends met together at Star Friends for some outdoor games and a bonfire. This was the first time many of these youth had seen each other since March since summer camps were canceled. It was a fun night to get together and laugh with friends from different churches and come together as the larger Friends church in the southern Idaho area.

Please continue to pray for students in NWYM as they navigate a school year full of potential challenges!

The Yearly Meeting office is continuing to act as the first point of contact for those who want to help Talent Friends Church after the devastating fire that swept through southern Oregon.

Thank you for your continued care for our sister church and their needs. They hope to be a light for Jesus in their community, and these are some ways that we can help them, too. Please continue to pray for Talent Friends Church!
