Save the Date for the 128th Annual Session

"Thriving"

Main speaker:  Joseph Clair, PhD

Dean of College of Christian Studies, Liberal Arts, and Honors & Associate Professor of Theology at George Fox University

Held in Newberg, Oregon on July 19-22, 2020.

We are pleased to have Joseph Clair as our main speaker for our 2020 Yearly Meeting Session! We look forward to exploring  questions such as: what does 'thriving' look like in this new world for churches? How can technology advance our mission -- what parts of our shared life cannot and should not be replicated through technology?
We hope to hold YM Sessions in person, but the schedule might need to change to a modified or virtual format - stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Twin Rocks Friends Camp
Twin Rocks Friends Camp is hard at work creating its new Nature Center. Over the past 3 months Facilities Director Jeff Sargent and crew have been transforming the lower Friendship Center into a state of the art outdoor education space. With the ocean, tide pools, lake, and wetlands near at hand, the camp serves as an ideal spot for learning about the wonders of creation.  Twin Rocks Friends Camp programs Outdoor School for Homeschoolers each fall as well as providing a location for public schools or private Christian schools to bring their outdoor programs.  Supporting these school programs is Twin Rocks outdoor curriculum library and expert outdoor educators, Emily Sargent  (Outdoor Education Director) and Katey Astleford.

The Nature Center will house the Outdoor Education office, salt water aquariums, teaching resources, and provide classroom space. Unique features of the center include three tree trunks, which highlight a created osprey nest, mooring rope, and crafted barnacles that look like the real thing. Make the Nature Center your first stop next time you visit camp.
