News and Reflections of and about Northwest Yearly Meeting
NWYM is a Christ-centered, discerning, inter-generational community of Friends, committed to discipleship and outreach to impact society locally and globally.
Luke 10 Think Tank
NWYM Board of Global Outreach, in partnership with EFM, is arranging a Luke 10 Initiative Think Tank on March 27th, 2021, 9am to 4pm (PDT), via zoom. We are seeking participation from members throughout Northwest Yearly Meeting as we prayerfully consider launching a new mission field in the next 5 years to an unreached people group.

Our hope is for key local leaders and individuals to join us who are eager to see NWYM pursue missions and are willing to dream and discern the Lord's leading with us as a board.  Please prayerfully consider your participation and who in your church could also participate in this process with us.

(Please register by Thursday, March 25th.)

Future Events Info
As a yearly meeting we are continuing to remain informed of safety guidelines related to COVID and will take these updates into account as we move forward with events planned for the spring and summer.  With this in mind, we are excited to have events on the calendar and will be sure to communicate updates to these events, as needed.
Samuel School 2021
Is there a youth in your church that demonstrates an interest to grow in their faith?  The focus of Samuel School is the formation of habits that will help students grow in their spiritual lives, apply Scripture to their age group, and engage in a meaningful relationship with at least one adult Christian in their church community in order to develop the student’s leadership abilities.

This retreat will be for junior and senior high students (Samuels), along with their mentor (the Eli), from their local church, as a reimagined way to invest in the "Growing Young" concepts discussed over the last few years in NWYM.  Samuels and Elis are selected by the local church elders with input from the youth leaders and pastor.  If you see a student in your church growing in their faith, please encourage your church elders to sponsor this student to attend Samuel School!

More details will be coming to the local church about this upcoming retreat, which will be held at Quaker Hill, in McCall, Idaho.
