January Blues

When we get back into work in the New Year all too often the festive period suddenly seems an age ago and it doesn’t take us long to get back into full throttle, making it all too easy to lose motivation when doing our day-to-day activities. Regardless of just how motivated each of us may be, it can be easier to give in to putting off , often putting things to the bottom of the TO DO list so because sometimes we all need a little more motivation ….. check out these great and inspirational TED talks to get you moving and grooving again

iNetwork are supporting development of a Citizen Need Service Profiler

At some point in our lives we will all face difficult circumstances and may find ourselves in need of support from others or the state. It is recognised that if people can get easy access to the services they need early on when facing a difficult situation; it can help to prevent a crisis further down the line. Too often, however, we are unaware of the services available and/or struggle to access them.

In light of this, iNetwork and iStandUK are collaborating with the LGA, IEG4 and other officers from a cross section of organisations in the North West to try to build a prototype app. The app will allow a citizen to simply tick boxes to describe their circumstances which will then suggest appropriate local services that they are eligible for.

How to 'Unconference'
Following our hugely successful unconference last year, I have been approached by a number of organisations asking for hints and tips on how to run a successful unconference.

If there is enough interest, I will set up a short session where interested parties can come together and we can share and learn from my research and experiences. Please contact with me to express an interest (with no commitment to attend at this point). @Cath
