Notes from Our Director:

It's the dog days of summer, and we're now halfway through our Summer Reading Program! Have you checked in with your reading records yet? Or still need to sign up? Stop in and see us! We have many more activities scheduled before the program ends on August 19. Click here to see a full list of all of our summer programs

The library is partnering with Schodack Island State Park for some special movie fun this summer. The Movies in the Park series, held at the park on August 6, 13, and 20 at 8:00 p.m., offers fun family movies outdoors on a giant screen! Call the park at 518-732-0187 to find out what's playing.

We're also collaborating with Schodack Island State Park to present a StoryWalk! A StoryWalk uses pages from a children's picture book along a walking path for families to enjoy a story and the outdoors at the same time. The StoryWalk begins next to the playground at Schodack Island State Park. The book selection changes each month and will continue through the end of October.

Are there any programs you'd like the library offer during the fall or winter? We'd love to hear your ideas! Stop, in give us a call at 518-732-0879, or send an email to director@castletonpubliclibrary.org

Thank you for joining us for a summer full of fun and learning.

Best,

Melissa Tacke, Library Director
