Notes from Our Director:

If you visit our library, you are likely familiar with many of our services and with our programs for children, teens, and adults. But you may be surprised by some of the services the library offers. Here are just a few of our services that you might not be aware of:
  • We offer free and easy access to eBooks, digital audiobooks, and digital magazines. Visit http://digitalcollection.uhls.org to find titles. All you need to sign up is your library card! Need help getting started? Our staff are always happy to assist you.
  • If you are looking for a book, audiobook, or DVD, and we don't have it in our library, we can get it for you! Any items available in the Upper Hudson Library System catalog (http://catalog.uhls.org) can be sent to CPL for easy pickup at your convenience. Still can't find what you need? We may be able to borrow it from a library outside of our system. Talk to a librarian for more information.
  • Our free wifi is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Even when the library is closed, visitors can access our wifi. The signal is strongest on Stimpson Avenue alongside the library building and on the building's front steps.
  • We have passes for free admission to a number of area museums available for loan. The number of passes in our collection is growing, and will continue to grow in 2016. Visit www.castletonpubliclibrary.org/museum-passes.html for a current list of the passes we have to offer.
We always welcome your suggestions and comments! Stop in, give us a call at 518-732-0879, or send an email to director@castletonpubliclibrary.org.

All of us at Castleton Public Library wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season.

Best,

Melissa Tacke, Library Director
