Hello there,
How are you?
We hope this message finds you healthy and comfortable.
Firstly, thank you so much for opening your email and showing your support to Tools for Self Reliance.  As a small charity, we couldn't continue without you.
We miss seeing your friendly faces in the workshop, on volunteer group visits and at events.
If you follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter you may have seen how volunteers across the UK are keeping busy whilst they #StayHome.
Grant has been incredibly busy, refurbishing chisels, shears, this vintage lawn mower and finishing his beautiful model boat.
Marian from our resident Craft 2 Craft group has been busy making notebook covers ready to sell at the next haberdashery sale.
Janet has been feeding her visiting hedgehogs and reading her family bedtime stories over face time.
Bob has set up shop in the fabulous workshop he built 20 years ago. Working on tools to sell at events.
Shelley from Yorkshire is surrounded by tubs of ‘Denodils’, daffodils given to her and Tracey at the funeral of their friend and Castle Cary group member Dennis Massey. “Looking at the Daffs reminds us of Dennis and his great enthusiasm, he’s watching over us and inspiring us still”. Cleaning the tools helps Shelley relax after a shift in A&E.
Tracey spends her time listing items on eBay. Mostly tapestry and embroidery kits, but also quirky sewing patterns like this one of fancy dress costumes for children. Every pattern is checked to make sure it is complete before being listed.
Like you, we can't wait to open the workshop doors, welcome you all back and ensure people receive the skills and tools that they need to build a livelihood to support themselves and their families.

Best wishes from
