Dear Valued Supporter,

We are here for you
We hope that you and your loved ones are all healthy, safe and comfortable.

The last few weeks have changed the world. For you, for your family, and for everyone.

Like you, we at Tools for Self Reliance have been taking important steps to help stop the spread of the virus. Our staff team is working from home and our 700 volunteers across the UK have suspended their activities – including collecting tool donations.

We are also in regular contact with our partners in Africa and doing all we can to support them as they take action in their own communities.

Vital fundraising events cancelled

This year marks 40 years of Tools for Self Reliance supporting people to build prosperous and sustainable livelihoods, with dignity. We had planned a year of celebration events, bringing people together to raise vital funds. But we have now made the difficult, but necessary decision to cancel these. This is essential to keeping the country safe, but devastating for us and the people we support – because money raised at events gets tools to people who need them most.

Take action today

We know this is an incredibly difficult time for everybody, but if you can, please make a gift today. Your donation will mean that those who already live in the most challenging of situations under normal circumstances, will have the tools they need to combat the impact that coronavirus will have on their livelihoods.

Please make a gift today of £50 to ensure your support reaches people when they most need it

Your donation will ensure training can quickly restart in countries like Ghana where projects have had to be put on hold. It will mean that more people are able to start earning an income, and can get back on their feet again.

At challenging times, we understand that not everyone is in a financial position to make a donation. But please, if you are able to, make a gift that will reach out and directly impact the lives of young people in Africa.

Please know that your support has already enabled thousands of young people like Onisha to be able to afford soap and access water today, so that they and their family can wash their hands.
