Let's Amplify Austin to improve the lives of 300 children in foster care.
In 2017, Foster Angels raised more than $21,000 to shed light on the lives of over 200 children in foster care. When Amplify Austin kicks off next Thursday, March 1, at 6 p.m. we have a bold goal to raise $30,000 to meet the basic needs of children in foster care and provide opportunities so that they can experience normalcy during their journey in foster care.
Create a fundraiser to share with your friends and family! Together, you can fundraise to fill a real need for a real child we received a request from this month:
Raise $100 to get Eli (17) new clothes.
After being very quickly removed from his parents, Eli wasn't able to grab any of his belongings. He arrived at his new placement, with only the clothes on his back and needs a new wardrobe to feel confident in at school.
Raise $200 to help Lexi's foster parents with groceries.
3-year-old Lexi's aunt and uncle took her in after she suffered severe abuse and neglect, but are facing a tight budget after her uncle recently lost his job. Lexi's foster parents just need a little help during this difficult time as they fight to keep Lexi in their safe, loving home.
Raise $500 to buy Emily a new laptop.
After suffering years of abuse and neglect, Emily suffers from social anxiety, and has decided to finish high school with online classes. Emily needs this laptop as she tries to find a medium to cope with her anxiety while graduating on time.
Raise $1,000 for bedroom makeovers for a sibling group of four.
Devin (15), Nate (13), Johnny (10), and Jessie (8) were recently removed from their parents, but are enjoying living with a family friend. However, that family friend needs help with bunk beds and decorations to make the rooms feel more like home.
These children are just a few examples of the several children we get requests from to fill their needs and provide normalcy every single day. Amplify Austin, change a life of a child in foster care.
