Looking forward to seeing you there.
I will be bringing more Raven paintings, along with my art objects, and some of my smaller paintings. You can also enter (free) to win my Bag O' Art that I have put together worth over $100 and jam-packed with some of my art and chapbooks. So come visit my booth and throw your name into the jar for your chance to win.

Bernadine now has gift certificates that can be used towards art, art objects and her drawing classes.
Revamped my Blog: I recently took the "Finding Your Social Medium" course at Emily Carr University with Rebecca Coleman. I learned a lot about fine tuning the use of social media. While this newsletter will keep you up-to-date on the business side of my art practice, my blog will give me the space and room to delve more deeply into those things that inspire my work. New blog entries will be uploaded each Wednesday morning (unless something has come up that is simply too hot to delay). My facebook page will announce each blog post. However, if you wish you can also subscribe to this blog by using the subscription link at http://bernadinesblog.blogspot.com/.
As much as I love to paint. I love to write exploring ideas, thoughts, feelings, and experiences in my world through the use of the written word. Images, shapes, and colours can only go so far in their nonverbal dialogue. I will be discussing my art and writing practice, women in art and art in general. However, art cannot exist in a vacuum. It is, and always will be, for me a reflection of the world I live in and the experiences I encounter. So, sometimes, I will be writing about those issues that come up in our lives and remind us that we are human. My last two blogs explored Respect and The Fragility of Human Communication and are posted with the hope that my readers will engage in that dialogue, adding their two cents, filling in the pieces I missed, and challenging ideas I have put forth.
Bernadine's 6th Year @ The Eastside Culture Crawl was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who came out to visit me during this event. I hope you enjoyed perusing the art on display throughout the Crawl. I know I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with each and every one of you who came to see me at my studio.
Bernadine's Drawing Class (Jan 15 to Mar 5, 2011) has only one space left. There were several more folks who have expressed interest in attending. Consequently, I have scheduled a second drawing class to start April 16th again on Saturdays (10 am to noon) in my studio. I do only three of these drawing classes a year with a maximum of 6 students in each class. If you do not want to miss out on these classes, let me know right away so that I can get your name down and reserve a spot for you.

I have discovered what seems to be an incredible software program designed to assist artists in maintaining their inventory, tracking their work on consignment and sales, and tracking their clients. After three days, I am blown away by how much information I can store in it and the level of professionalism it will afford me. It is called ArtTracker and you can find it through Xanadu Gallery at Xanadu Gallery. The costs is only $45.00. Has anyone used this before? Do you have any feedback for me and/or pitfalls to watch out for? I would appreciate anyone else's tips from their own experience.
