The third annual Elliot Kaminitz Father's Day Ride is just around the corner - Sunday, June 21st, 2015! This year, you can start the day stretching and saluting the sun with Newport Yogis - and then join hundreds of cyclists as we ride the scenic coastline in celebration and support of safer cycling. With 6, 10, and 25 mile ride options, as well as a 2-mile Bay Walk, riders of all levels can participate. Kids will enjoy the "Tour de Fort", inside Fort Adams - sponsored by the RI Department of Transportation. And the 6-mile loop will be coned off and escorted - great for the less experienced riders. All Bike Newport members receive 15% off registration (forgot the member code? Email Liza)! Register Here.
New this year: FEE WAIVER available on the registration form. We want everyone who wants to ride - to ride. Register Here.
Volunteers still needed! Contact Liza.
Please say THANKS to our Father's Day Ride sponsors and community partners:

There is also community yoga at 6pm at Third Beach for those interested. Always remember to bring lights and wear a helmet.
BIKE to SVF Foundation's
Annual Visitors Day
Sat, June 13th, 9am-3pm
Looking for some family farm fun this weekend? Join our friends at the SVF Foundation for their annual Visitors Day celebration. Did we mention you should... BIKE there? Bike Newport's new event racks are on site waiting for you! Please use the Beacon Hill Road entrance so you can start the self-guided tour at the beginning. If you're unfamiliar - just keep an eye out for our yellow Bike Newport signs from Harrison Ave. As always, residents and visitors can use our two Park n' Bike lots - ditch the car and bike to your destination!
Say I see you. Wave!
The Newport community is coming together to improve safety on our busy roads - and it all starts with a WAVE. Get your wave on now, and watch for the campaign to get residents and visitors involved. Say I see you. WAVE! #dothewave #rollnice #strollnice.
Ten Speed Spokes Longest Day Ride
Thurs, June 25th, 6pm
Registration is open for Ten Speed Spokes' Longest Day Ride on June 25th at 6pm. As always, the ride is free and this year they'll feature the Honky Tonk Knights playing live honkytonk, country blues, rockabilly, country, bluegrass, and roots rock at the shop after the ride.
Host-With-the Most Tip: Get a guest bike(s)!
It's guest season - when far-flung friends and family come to crash with us and share that RI summer magic. Don't let your guests experience Newport from behind a windshield! Get some guest bikes for your house this summer. You can earn or adopt a restored bike from our Bike Garage fleet, and support Bike Newport's educational programs in the process.
