New Event Racks Debuting NOW
at the Volvo Ocean Race

Back in March 2014, we partied at Midtown Oyster Bar to "Rack 'em Up!" and raised funds to purchase high capacity racks for special events throughout Newport. We're so excited to report that racks for 300 bicyclists have arrived at Fort Adams just in time for the Volvo Ocean Race - bike to Fort Adams and try them out!

2nd annual CycloFemme Mother's Day Ride
Sunday, May 10th, 8:30am

Join Bike Newport, SpokesWomen Cycling, and Women Bike RI on Mother’s Day for a scenic Aquidneck Island bike ride and picnic. The ride leaves from the Bike Newport HQ parking lot at 9 am, but please plan to be there by 8:30 am for pledges, temporary tattoos and pre-ride fueling.

There will be two route options, 13 and 35 miles, both with cue sheets, leaders, and sweepers. The 13-miler will be leisurely and conversational, for cyclists of all abilities. The 33-mile route will keep a pace of 13-16mph.

While this is a celebration of women by women, men and boys are welcome to ride!
