End of Year Campaign - SUCCESS!

Together, we did it! At 2:22pm on New Year's Eve, we reached $25,000 in donations, making it possible to collect the full $25,000 matching grant from one of our most generous supporters, ultimately ending the campaign with $26,110 before the match, and setting us off with a great start to 2016. THANK YOU! to all who contributed - you truly are the wind behind our wheels. Thanks, acknowledgements, and other information should be in your mailbox before the end of the month.

Welcome Mary Ellen and Marc

Meet Mary Ellen Lynch. our new Program Manager. While at the Dorcas International Institute of RI, she spearheaded a partnership with Recycle-a-Bike to connect newly-arrived refugees  with bicycles. She has focused much of her career fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and promising atmosphere for immigrants and refugees, and increasing scholastic and work opportunities for urban young adults. Mary Ellen's excited to help bring together organizations, individuals, small businesses, and corporations to make Newport a bike friendly city.

Welcome to our newest Board Member, Marc Braunstein. Marc began his career as a marketing consultant to the bicycle industry, and his love for the sport has taken him on roads throughout the U.S. and Europe. A longtime RIer Marc is a Newport newcomer, but it take him long to find Bike Newport. He's excited to serve as a director, and believes our city can become a world-class destination not only for sailors and visitors of historic homes, but for cyclists as well.
