Need wheels for spring? Pick up a restored bike and support Bike Newport - at our Spring Bike Distro Disco! Come check out our fleet of bikes lovingly restored by East Bay MET School interns, Bike Newport staff, and volunteer mechanics. We'll crank the tunes, and you'll find your perfect ride. More information here!

 

Ladies Night at the Bike Garage
Monday, May 4th, 6pm


Bike making weird noises? Chain need some TLC? Brakes just not what they used to be? Ready to repair your own flat? You can give your bike the love it wants, and it'll love you back - we promise! Celebrate National Bike Month by increasing your bike know-how and your confidence at LADIES NIGHT -  Mon, May 4th from 6-8pm, at the Bike Garage at Rogers High School. Class is taught by women and girls and for women and girls. Minimum recommended donation: $5 for students, $15 for adults - all proceeds go to Bike Newport's educational programs. Space is limited! Email Liza to reserve your spot.

3rd annual Elliot Kaminitz Father's Day Ride
Now through May 1st

Registration is open for the third annual Elliot Kaminitz Father's Day Ride - June 21, 2015. Join hundreds of cyclists as we ride the scenic coastline in celebration of safer cycling. With 6, 10, and 25 mile ride options, as well as a 2-mile Bay Walk, riders of all levels can participate. 2nd annual CycloFemme Mother's Day Ride
Sunday, May 10th, 9am


 

Join Bike Newport, SpokesWomen Cycling, and Women Bike RI on Mother’s Day for a scenic Aquidneck Island bike ride and picnic. The ride leaves from the Bike Newport HQ parking lot at 9 am, but please plan to be there by 8:30 am for pledges, temporary tattoos and pre-ride fueling. There will be two route options, 14 and 35 miles, both with cue sheets, leaders, and sweepers.

These are no-drop rides, for cyclists of all abilities.
While this is a celebration of women by women, men and boys are welcome to ride!

 



4 Bridges Ride
Saturday, May 2nd, 7am


The 4 Bridges Ride is looking for up to ten experienced bicyclists to provide ride support along the route. You'll receive a complimentary registration, or a refund if you've already registered. Contact Liza if interested!

 Join the Group Ride Planning Committee! The first meeting will take place at our monthly Bike Newport Happy Hour at Parlor Bar and Kitchen, 200 Broadway in Newport. 

Saturday, 4/25: 8:45am
Ride to the Sakonnet Bridge Bike Lane celebration. Meet at Bike Newport at 8:45am, hit the road at 9am. Details here

All Saturdays, beginning 5/2: 9:15am
Until the Group Ride Planning Committee announces otherwise, we'll meet at Bike Newport HQ, 437 Broadway, Newport, at 9:15am for a 15-25 mile ride of the Newport and/or Middletown towns and coastlines. More info HERE.
