WILLIAM PARKER &
The Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra!
perform world premiere of 'The Water Bearer'
at Greater Calvary Baptist Church
The Little Huey Creative Music Orchestra is William Parker's longest running large ensemble. Their debut performances in the early 1990s predate even AUM Fidelity ;-) Their appearances these days are far too infrequent; each opportunity is to be cherished I do so believe.
As ever with this remarkable aggregration of great, generation-spanning musicians, no composition is ever repeated.
This night's performance will be the world premiere of 'The Water Bearer' (dedicated to Henry P. Warner).
It will be presented in four parts, two parts per set.
Featuring: William Parker - bass, Andrew Barker - drums
Dave Hofstra - tuba, Dave Sewelson - baritone sax,
James Brandon Lewis - tenor sax, Abraham Mennen - tenor sax
Rob Brown - alto sax, Darius Jones - alto sax
Steve Swell - trombone, Masahiko Kono - trombone
Matt Lavelle - trumpet, and Charles Waters - clarinet
doors at 6:30
First set: 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm;
15 min break;
Second set: 8:00 pm - 8:45 pm
Tickets at door only: $20
