Kind greetings once again good people on the AUM Fidelity Community list,
And –as ever– in hopes this finds you all well. I wanted to send out a quick note to remind/alert NYC metro dwellers that William Parker will be premiering brand new work at The Kitchen this coming Thursday! Details..
Trail of Tears Continuum (1492-2019)
Thursday, March 7, 8:00pm
512 West 19th Street
New York, NY 10011
Bassist / composer William Parker premieres Trail of Tears Continuum (1492-2019), a new multi-media work tracing the de-evolution of humanity in America. The 90 minute suite is broken into four sections -- “Plantations,” “Reservations,” “Housing Projects,” Prisons” -- and built around new music, libretto, and narrative composed by Parker. Performers include singers AnnMarie Sandy and Raina Sokolov Gonzalez, drummer Hamid Drake, pianist Cooper-Moore, saxophonist Rob Brown, trombonist Steve Swell, and features original poetry by Fred Moten and Tracie Morris. The piece also features film by Parker and Michael Lucio-Sternbach.
This promises to be a "Next Level" happening;
highly recommended you get your tickets Now, Here: https://thekitchen.org/event/identity-freedom
Yes, this will be Night One in a three night stand produced by Arts for Art together with The Kitchen, Night Two features the Dave Burrell premiere, Harlem Renaissance, and Night Three presents Andrew Cyrille's Haitian Celebration. Why New Yorkers live here, or near! Details on all three nights via the link above.
The last time that William Parker premiered new work at the Kitchen was the epic composition, and performance thereof, For Fannie Lou Hamer.
I'm sending this dispatch to the entire list (rather than just to those near NYC) as I also wanted to note that all of the 2018 releases from AUM Fidelity & Centering Records are down to their very last copies. If you were interested in picking these up in physical form direct from source, this might well be your last opportunity to do so...

And, we are currently working on New Releases (!), which will be available in time for Vision Festival in June!
Why no images here? I'm dealing with way-outdated browser issues, and I really do now need to update my OS, which is happening later this month.
Thank you for reading; do stay well-tuned.
May we all forward with compassion and fortitude,
