Doors are open, hearts and faces of Hope City staff are full of love and welcome, the prayer room reverberates with strains of praise lifted from mouths that were once hungry and hearts that were chained, the dinner is hot and nourishing, and the beds are FULL - full of beautiful people who have given their lives to Jesus and want to be free from addictions and destruction. The success rate is high here at Hope City, and we believe it’s because Jesus is the ultimate reformer, and fellowship with Him is at the center of our TOP program.

The Hope City team is full of joy today as we announce that the time is NOW for a new building! It’s time to be able to open our doors wider to re-build more lives, and to be a shelter for more poor and needy that are desperate for freedom. With your help, these past years have been an incredible journey of seeing Jesus in action, literally saving lives. Our TOP residential addiction recovery program has a waiting list - and we are beyond max capacity in our facility. Over the next 6 weeks we are going to give you a peek into our daily rhythm here at Hope City, and you will see first hand the need for a bigger facility.

Our financial partners are LIFE BUILDERS right alongside us. Because of you the doors stay open and those who feel forgotten have a place of warmth and love. While we do fill the hungry with food, by far the most tangible cry of the human heart is for love. A beautiful exchange happens every day here at Hope City through you - with every plate of food, every night in a safe clean bed, every counseling session, every Bible study, and every day “clean” - hearts come alive from the dead and turn to Jesus.

Let’s build more hope together as the year draws to a close. Together we are building real lives and futures. Here are some ways you can be a Life Builder:

Building Futures: Tara’s Story

Tara and her brother Christian came to Hope City from Montana.  They are both Crow Natives from the Crow Reservation.  Tara had signed over her parental rights before coming to Hope City.  Tara longed to have her son return to her, but because of her addiction, it seemed impossible. The Lord heard her cry and did the impossible in her life during her stay here.  She told the Judge who was overseeing the court case about the live streamed prayer for the Native Americans at the Global Prayer Room.  He watched the live stream and saw her and Chris praying! Recently the Judge ruled in favor of Tara regaining her parental rights and began to transition her son Malechi to be reunited with Tara when she finishes her time here at Hope City. This Judge has also asked for more information on Hope City so that he could send other Native Americans struggling with addiction to rebuild their lives at Hope City.  Tara and Christian have been praying for God to break in on the Reservations - especially the political leaders, tribal chairmen, judges and the court system.

BUILDING LIVES: Update on Lexi’s story

Do you remember Lexi’s story?  She watched the Lord day after day rebuild her life from hopelessness to HOPE regarding her children. She had completely lost them, then watched the Lord turn her situation completely around. Today, Lexi is getting her own house and preparing for her children to come home.

Recently Lisa was doing ministry in the Topeka Women’s Correctional Facility where she met a woman who had just read her book, and told Lisa that she KNEW she had to get that book into her daughter’s hands. Her daughter had been a junkie for years and living on the streets - this inmate had asked someone to buy ‘Next To the Last Vein’ and give it to her daughter.  As her daughter was reading the book, she felt God come over her with repentance and she gave her life to the Lord, and she was instantly delivered from all drugs and hasn’t used them since.  MANY OF YOU helped make the ‘Next to the Last Vein’ distribution project happen, this is just one of the many testimonies of changed lives. Thank you for partnering with Hope City to BUILD HOPE and bring freedom.

The Prayer Room is Open M-F 8am-10pm and we have services Monday and Friday nights at 6pm - we’d love to have you!
