Thank You For Your Support!

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff of the Manor ISD Education Foundation (MEF), I would like to thank everyone in the Manor community who supported our “Country Chic” Fall Gala. We raised funds that directly benefit our campuses, teachers and students and will further our goal of supporting Manor ISD.

Our live and silent auctions were a success thanks to donations from over 100 individuals We would like to recognize the hard work of our Gala Committee, a group of dedicated volunteers that helped plan and execute this year’s event. This committee was led  by Co-Chairs Suanna Tumlinson and Alex Frantz.

Finally, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone in the Manor ISD community who participated in this important fundraiser by volunteering time, purchasing tickets or bidding on items in our auction. Thank you for joining with us to say that our children’s public education matters!

About Manor Education Foundation
Our Purpose: The Manor ISD Education Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization whose primary goal is to go to exceptional lengths to generate a variety of resources to meet the extraordinary needs of the Manor Independent School District. MEF was founded in June 1999 and has since been dedicated to to raise funds to promote and enhance the educational outcomes of Manor ISD students at all levels by providing scholarships, supporting innovation in the classroom through grants and serving as an advocate for the District within the community.


Apply Now for a 2016 Scholarship!

MEF awards scholarships up to $5,000 to Manor ISD graduating seniors to help with the cost of higher education. Each applicant must meet specific criteria to be considered. The scholarship application can be completed online and submitted electronically no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016. Applications and transcripts may be emailed or hand delivered to:

MEF Fall 2016 Innovative Education Grants
Application Deadline

The Innovative Education Grants support innovative classroom projects that are proposed by educators each semester. Traditional funding for these types of projects is not provided by the district so that the Foundation helps in this area. MEF’s goal is to select projects which stimulate students’ creativity and expand the existing curriculum. Grant awards range from a minimum of $100 to a maximum of $2,000. A total of $6,000 for Spring Innovative Education Grants were awarded.

MEF provided scholarships to three students totaling $1,250 during the March Financial Aid Saturdays events at Manor ISD.


Celebrate Our Teachers at MISD!

MEF was honored to provide each teacher a tool box containing items for the classroom.


McDonald’s of Manor generously provided refreshments for this event as well as gift cards to all teachers who attended.


Welcome New Board Member

Cindy Ferguson has joined the MEF Board. She and her husband own and operate many of the McDonald’s in the Greater Austin area. Ms. Ferguson brings business and finance expertise to our Board and she currently serves on the RMHC Board in Austin and she is also a founding member for the Rotary Club of Elgin. She serves on the PR Committee for the Greater Austin Coop and is the Treasurer for the Houston Regional Leadership Committee. We expect to put her fundraising and event planning skills to good use and look forward to working with her on the MEF Board.
