winter 2017 @ manhattans

Hello jazz lovers!

With the busy holiday season now in our rear view mirror, we can begin to reflect on what a fabulous season/year it truly was! We played host to a multitude of staff Christmas parties as well as many family gatherings.
Jamie Mitges + Ryan Seguin of The Salvation Army
A very special thanks goes out to piano man, James 'Giggles' Mitges and our amazing guests on the evening of Wed. Dec. 21 who collectively raised a whopping $1345.30 for The Salvation Army Guelph Citadel. Big thanks goes out to Ryan and Erica for all their hard work too!
There are some highlighted gigs listed below but please feel free to check out our music calendar for a full listing of what's in store for February.
ART SHOW Sonal Raje
"The only thing that is constant is change." - Heraclitus
Guelph's own, Sonal Raje presents Transition; a series of paintings reflecting the ever changing cycle of life. Sonal expresses these emotions through the use of colour, form and texture. She strives to find a sense of harmony and balance in her complex layering of abstract, non-objective forms. Sonal's work will be on display until Sun. Jan. 29th.
food + drink
HEADS UP! Our famous INDONESIAN PIZZA will be on the menu starting Fri. Feb. 3 @ 5:00pm and will be featured the following week while supplies last! This coming weekend, Chef Brett is serving up some deliciously tender, fall off the bone, braised short ribs - start salivating now!
Elora Brewery's Lady Friend IPA
We're currently featuring some local brews from Elora Brewing Co. For a limited time, try their Lady Friend IPA (6% ABV) which has a distinct malt profile with subtle notes of wild mountain honey and caramel. Also available by the bottle is their Three Fields Lager (4.5% ABV). It's a unique blend of barley, rye and wheat with a smooth and balanced mouth-feel that finishes light, crisp and refreshing.
Innis & Gunn's Irish Whiskey Stout

For a limited time try Innis & Gunn's Irish Whiskey Stout (7.4% ABV). This sturdy Scottish stout has been matured over Irish Whiskey infused American oak. The result is a rich, complex beer with a velvety smooth finish and notes of dark chocolate and coffee.
Organized Crime Cabernet Franc '13
We thoroughly enjoyed serving Organized Crime Winery's 2010 Pinot Noir so much that when the vintage was no longer in stock we switched to their 2013 Cabernet Franc VQA. Located in Beamsville Bench of the Niagara Peninsula, this boutique winery only produces small-lot wines from meticulously maintained vineyards. Their Cab Franc is dark in colour and layered with rich flavours of ripe black plums, cherry, roasted red pepper, cocoa, and black pepper.
Thanks folks for all your continued love and support. We're still on top of TripAdvisor but keep those positive reviews coming - we just love reading them!
