asian stARTup

FOOD | COLLABORATION | PERFORMANCES
American Conservatory Theater launches asian stARTup, a creative incubator for Asian artists and tech professionals to develop partnerships at the intersection of art and technology.

Join us for our first meet-up next Sunday at 12pm, in A.C.T.'s Strand Theater for food, collaboration and live pop-up performances from innovative Asian artists. Playwright Christopher Chen and I will discuss Port City, a commission by A.C.T., which was recently awarded a MAP Fund Grant. We will share ideas for programming initiatives to engage Asian art/tech workers, as well as assemble the inaugural asian stARTup council.

As part of this event, you are invited to the 2pm matinee performance of The Last Five Years, written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, in The Geary Theater, followed by post-show drinks in the Sky Bar on the third floor of the theater.

RSVP to Ken Savage <ksavage@act-sf.org> by this Wednesday, May 18, to attend asian stARTup and/or reserve a complimentary ticket to The Last Five Years. Tickets and space are limited.

These events are supported in part by a grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
