The Destiny of SolSeed is to take root amongst the stars
The renowned science fiction author Kurt Vonnegut once said, "If people insist on living as if there's no tomorrow, there really won't be one." It's certainly a valid critique of the reckless scaling-up of new technologies without thought for the consequences. But strangely, the same technological prowess that has enabled the killing of billions of innocent beings, and threatened to cut humanity's future short, has also provided us with unprecedented opportunities to imagine and create brighter tomorrows.
The possibilities are endless. We can create a tomorrow where every human being has clean water to drink, where every child is freely given the knowledge and skills to understand and shape their world, where technology helps wild ecosystems to thrive rather than merely trying to limit the rate of destruction. The SolSeed Movement supports all of these dreams.
We also support space exploration, largely because it encourages people to live as if there is a truly astonishing tomorrow, where Earth is not the only world that thrives thanks to our dreams and efforts. Where life from Earth takes root on the Moon, on Mars, inside asteroids, throughout the Solar System and beyond. To join the SolSeed Movement is to embrace a long-term vision of life spreading across the vast expanse of the Milky Way.
Where there is life, there is also death. Like Earth, these new worlds forged from lifeless rock will contain both great joy and great sorrow, love and loss, justice and corruption, peace and violence. But they will be alive, exuberantly and vibrantly alive, and that is what truly matters.
The Destiny of SolSeed
is to take root and flower amongst the stars ---
to give birth to a family of living worlds.
