Change is Always Possible

When Relationships are Enhanced

KW Counselling Services is honoured to have been serving people in this community since 1950.  Our 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday May 26th at here in our offices at 480 Charles Street, East in Kitchener.  A reception will take place at 4pm, followed by the business meeting.

Everyone is welcome to attend!  If you made a financial contribution to the agency between May 2014 and April 2015 you are considered a voting member of the agency.

If you would like to attend the AGM please RSVP to swilliams@kwcounselling.com by May 22nd.

We are extremely proud of our Outreach Team who celebrated 15 years of the Community Outreach Program in April!

We have five outreach workers in six local community centres.  They work in conjunction with others at more than 30 locations across the Region to provide direct assistance to families with children under the age of 18 that are experiencing the effects of poverty in our community.  Our outreach team often assists with donating needed items, referrals to community resources and making links to recreation and education.

We are pleased to be part of this wonderful program that is funded by the Region of Waterloo as part of the National Child Benefit Program.

OK2BME

OK2BME is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year!  This is a set of free services we offer to LGBTQ youth and their families, including: counselling, a youth group (13-18) and public education.

We recently received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation that will help us to expand our public education work and support of GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliances) in local schools.  We will also be redesigning ok2bme.ca over the next year.
