United Way

We Are Possibility

The United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo & Area is a long-time community partner and one of our largest funders.  In 2014, they gave us $419,825 to support our individual, couples and family counselling, our parenting programs, our multicultural outreach work and Temper Taming Together.  Without the support of the United Way, we would be unable to offer many of the services we do.

This Fall, we are participating in the annual United Way campaign. This year's theme is "We Are Possibility." Check out this moving campaign video.

Parenting Education Resource Fair

On October 22nd, join us for an evening of learning and connection from 6-8:30pm at the CIGI Campus in Waterloo.

Local service providers will be there with information about their programs and services as well as parenting tips and strategies.

Enjoy a special presentation by guest speaker, Alyson Schafer!

Tickets are free but you must register to attend. Click here to register.
Back-To-School

We have five Family Outreach Workers who work in local community centres. They recently did a back-to-school drive to find backpacks, lunch bags, school supplies and hygiene products for school-aged kids in our community.

Thanks to generous donors, we were able to help 300 kids with their back-to-school transition!

For more information about the Community Outreach Program and the work we do, take a look at this video for the personal story of a local family.
Tour de Waterloo

On June 21st, we were honoured to be involved in the 6th annual Tour de Waterloo cycling event. The event raised funds for KW Counselling Services and Grand River Hospital.

Above, event organizers Blake Ellis and Malcolm Stevens, present our Executive Director, Leslie Josling, with a cheque for $7,500. Including donations, the event raised $7,760 to support our Walk In Counselling Clinic!

Thank you to all the cyclists, volunteers, sponsors and partners who made this possible.
Take our Survey...

....tell us how you like to get parenting information! The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. You will also have the option to enter a draw for a $25.00 gift card to Tim Horton’s. Click HERE to begin!
October 10th is World Mental Health Day.  Please join us in reducing the stigma around mental health by starting conversations with your friends, family and coworkers.
