Walk In Counselling Clinic

get help when you need it

Our flagship service is the Walk In Counselling Clinic (WICC).  The WICC is open each Thursday from noon-6pm and anyone is welcome to walk in during those hours and see a therapist without having made an appointment.  Our counselling services are offered on a sliding price scale based on income.

Thanks to our generous sponsors and funders, our counselling services are free for anyone on Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), women who have experienced abuse or Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and anyone aged 5-18 who identifies as LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) or who is questioning their sexuality.  We have funding for transportation specifically for women (16 yr+) who have experienced IPV.  These clients can call us to request support with transportation if needed.

Seniors Services

Staff at KW Counselling Services have received specialized training for supporting seniors. Staff are educated in individual and family interventions for challenges relating to aging and are trained to use counselling techniques specific to seniors. We are well-equipped with information about community resources for seniors.

In its first five years, Tour de Waterloo raised more than $135,000 for local charities!

Together is Better

We act as a support to five multicultural community groups as they grow in their capacity to serve the needs of their members: the Coalition of Muslim Women, the South Sudan Association of Waterloo Region, Parents Club for Russian Speakers, the African Community Wellness Initiative and the African-Canadian Association of Waterloo Region.
