I am very excited to announce to you that we have received word from the government of Alberta that they have accepted our name change to Refinery Church!  This is the great news we have been waiting for.

Our name change is now official.  Which means that we now need to inform everyone from our utilities provider to our partner ministries.  With regards to our name change, one question we have been asked relates to financial donations to the church.  We have informed Canada Revenue Agency of our name change, and are waiting for them to update our file.  Once they have done so, we will be able to receive checks made out to Refinery Church.  Until they make changes on their end, we ask that if you are writing a check, please make it out to Christ's Church of the Meadows.

While the name change is official, we will look to have an official launch in January 2021.  If Covid doesn't get in the way, we will celebrate the name change then, as well as introduce changes to our website, social media accounts, and e-mail contacts.  This is great news that deserves a celebration!

On another celebratory note, I want to say thank you to those who participated in the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes this year.  We collected 40 boxes this year, which is tremendous considering the negative impact that Covid has had on such ministries.  Because of your involvement, 40 children will receive a shoebox gift and be introduced to Jesus Christ this Christmas.  That's worth celebrating!

I'm starting a new teaching series on Sunday all about the church.  It's a great Sunday to invite a friend.  Can't wait to see you then... live or online!
