A weekly dose of inspirational stories about women in tech
Each issue will include stories about women in tech who are doing amazing and inspiring work. It will also include tips, advice and resources on coding for those who are just getting started.

This week, I moved Diversify Tech to Gatsby which is a static site generator for the React library. I've not worked with React before. It was fun to learn something new. If you want to try Gatsby, I recommend their tutorial and starting with one of their starters. If you are curious about why one would use a static site generator, here is why. I had to look up myself.

I gave a workshop on how to get a job in tech. I used to have a fear of public speaking and I'm trying to practice at least once a year. I didn't get very nervous which was great. However, I had too much content. I had to rush and I didn't have enough time to answer questions. Lessons learned for next time!

I did put together several worksheets to help you find a job in tech: 1. To think about the role you are looking for. 2. To see what your online presence says about you now 3. Checklist to grow your network and look for a job. Let me know if you'd like a copy!

I'd love to hear about what you are working on as well as any feedback about the newsletter. Feel free to reply and let me know what you think!

Happy Coding!
