Dates have been set for our 3D cell culture workshops in San Francisco

Liver Microtissues Help Resolve In Vitro SR-BI Receptor Localization

The SR-BI scavenger receptor is important for cholesterol uptake and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) entry.  A recent paper used immunofluorescent staining to show correct receptor localization of SR-BI on the basolateral membrane of 3D InSight™ Liver Microtissues, similar to native liver.  The article gives further credence to the more organotypic nature of 3D liver microtissues, as 2D cultures did not mirror in vivo SR-BI localization.  Get the open access paper.

State-of-the-Art in 3D Microtissue Models: An Update
