Use this summer to gain some 3D InSight™! This June we feature protocols for reliable isolation of high-quality RNA from tumor spheroids, and preview our 3D Summer School 2015 Webinar Series.
Are you looking to move culture of your tumor cell lines or tumor-stromal co-cultures from 2D to 3D? Have you been growing tumor spheroids in scaffold-based systems, but struggling with endpoint and assay compatibility? Are you already using 3D techniques but looking for the latest applications and tools to make the most of your spheroids? Use this summer to gain some 3D InSight™ with our InSphero 3D Summer School 2015 Webinar Series.
Oncology topics include: An introduction to 3D cell culture techniques
Easy-to-use platforms for scaffold-free 3D cell culture
3D-optimized endpoints and cell based assays
Metabolic profiling of 3D microtissues
3D tumor models for drug discovery
High-throughput size profiling of tumor microtissues
...especially when it comes to reliable isolation of RNA from 3D microtissues. As the name implies, microtissues can contain very few cells, making it difficult to reliably obtain high-quality RNA from such small samples. Success can vary greatly from one commercial extraction method to another. In collaboration with Promega, we've optimized manual and automation-compatible protocols that yield 3-5 ng of high RIN-value RNA from single microtissues containing ~1000 cells.
