Dear brothers & sisters in Christ, family and friends of Northminster,
In these challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic, the words of Psalm 46 are in my head and heart.
“God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble. … The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. … Be still and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46 selections.
God is with us! And we are with you, joining our hearts with you as we pray fervently for protection, healing and God’s peace in our anxious community and world.
At Northminster Church, we are working hard and with careful hygienic diligence, to care for you and think of how we can be and offer the gospel to folks in this challenging time. We are striving to follow health guidelines and advisements and will be evaluating our activities and ministries as the days roll along. We will communicate with you via email, our website, social media, or phone. If you have any questions, please call us at 520-327-7121.
Here’s the current lay of the keep-it-sanitary landscape:
Worship Services Online Only
We will continue to offer worship services online with live streaming at 8:00 and 9:30am and a rebroadcast of the 8:00am service at 11:00am. Join us at npctucson.org/watchlive OR at facebook.com/npctucson. The recording of those services will also continue to be available all week at npctucson.org/ondemand. You can download the YouVersion Bible app to view digital versions of our worship materials on Sunday mornings and links to bulletins and sermon notes will also be posted in our live streams.
Regularly scheduled activities and programs at our campus are now suspended for the time being. We are working on ways we might be able to gather or meet virtually; see below for current online resources and groups. Our Church Office is remaining open if you need to drop off or pick up an item, or if you need help.
We will continue to offer community help through our Caridad meal service Monday nights, 5:30-6:30pm, Prayer Garden Entrance, and our Tuesday morning Deacon Pantry, 9:00-11:00am, South Parking Lot, both on an outdoor grab-and-go basis. We are limiting weddings and memorials to 10 or fewer people.
Northminster Christian School
Our school is currently on Spring Break and will remain closed next week, per the request of our Governor with all school closings. At present, we are planning to re-open on March 30, pending official advisements, with diligent and extreme cautions in place for hygiene and protection.
How can we help you?
We are here with you, in offering Christ’s compassion and grace, in any way we possibly can! If you have a prayer request to share, you can send an email, email@example.com or call us at 520-327-7121.
We are also making available to you a pastoral care line, 520-261-9370, which you can text or call for pastoral care and support or prayer requests.
Keep in touch and stay connected!
Here at Northminster we, along with the rest of you, are adjusting to the new realities of a dramatically different world. We are making every effort to maintain the connections and relationships that are the church by leveraging a variety of digital tools so that our congregation can continue to participate in worship and as many other ministry activities as possible.
This is a critical time for us to live and function as the church! So please check our website, read our emails and follow us on social media for updates.
As a way for us to stay connected and in community as a church family, we’ve created a NEW private Facebook group, “Northminster Online.” Join in at facebook.com/groups/npctucson. Here we can share and do life together while we’re unable to meet in person.
We are offering a pastoral Daily Devotion as a weekday morning encouragement. Those receiving our Northminster News emails will automatically receive the devotion emails. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel at youtube.com/npctucson - after you click the "Subscribe" button, click the bell icon to receive notifications when new content is added.

How you can help Pray! Please pray for our congregation, our community and our world—for God’s healing health and abounding peace. Pray for the many in the medical field who are bravely providing relief and seeking research. Pray for our governmental leaders and for wisdom in guiding us. Pray for the many who are out and about in our community, driving trucks with supplies, working at grocery stores to keep us fed, and so many more.
Continue to give and provide offerings
Our staff is working and serving in mighty ways, and bills need to be paid. Please be diligent about keeping up your regular giving. Click here to give online or you can text your offerings and donations by texting “npctucson” to the number 73256 and following the prompts. Additionally, you can mail your contribution to 2450 E. Ft. Lowell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85719 or drop it off at our church office.
As I started, let me again repeat: God is with us! And we are with you, joining our hearts with you as we pray fervently for protection, healing and God’s peace in our anxious community and world. We love you and are praying for you. Let us know how else we can help. And be encouraged that this is a special opportunity to care for those around you, your neighbors, your loved ones and our church family and broader community. Now is the time we can really shine our light of encouragement and pass the peace of Christ—that passes understanding—to one another. And so …
