Imagine walking into the empty tomb....
What might the 3 women have been feeling as they knelt at Jesus’ feet? What is it like for you when something unexpected happens? What might Jesus say to you
right now if He showed up in front of you?
On Easter, Kay Lynn told the story of Jesus’ Resurrection and led a group of children and adults to learn the story, retell it and to discover, through questions like these, what God was saying to them in it.
Since September she has been in training to facilitate Simply the Story inductive Bible studies (STS - www.simplythestory.com
). Bible storying is a method of Bible study for both literate and non-literate people which engages all age groups to listen to what the Bible says and to respond to what God is telling them.
Storying Training for Zimbabwe
Kay Lynn is looking forward to using Simply the Story in Zimbabwe during our next term. So she plans to attend the STS Full Practitioner and Trainer workshop in September. This will not only complete her equipping to facilitate STS studies, but to train others to facilitate them as well. STS’s Oral Bible School blends well with Community Health Evangelism, which she introduced at Eden Children’s Village in July.
The STS workshop in September will cost approximately $750, including transportation and room and board. If you are interested in helping with these costs, please let us know. You can donate using the link in the column on the right.
Kingdom Vision Continues
We are nearing the end of our Kingdom Vision class with the life group from Fair Oaks Church. It’s been a responsive class, and we’ve learned a lot together. We are currently contacting other area churches to schedule fall Kingdom Vision classes.
Thanks for Your Partnership
We’re grateful that God has given us such a faithful support team. Each day we are grateful that we can follow where God leads us, and we couldn’t do it without your prayer and financial support. Thanks for being with us.
