TALENT: Volunteer Social

On May 12th, 32 TALENT volunteers gathered together in Picture My Cup Café for an ABC Volunteer Social Event. Volunteers shared their experiences and helpful tips with each other and reflected on different activities during the semester. In addition, the volunteers sang together in an open-mic music setting.

CONNECT: Yale Club of Beijing Event

As part of Yale's Service Day Event, ABC worked with the Yale Club in a collaborative event in Chaoyang Park on May 12th, 2014.  Fifteen Yale Club volunteers accompanied 23 migrant children from Qinghonglan School to the park, where they enjoyed a picnic together and engaged in teamwork activities, such as kite flying. In doing so, they also promoted the ABC core values of Care, Commitment, Confidence and Courage.

CONNECT: Sinopec Engineering Incorporation Event

On May 24th, 140 students from Pengying School and Xinyuan School joined together with volunteers from Sinopec Engineering Incorporation (SEI) for an artwork event. Volunteers assisted the children to create wonderful pieces of art inspired by birds, flowers, famous buildings and beautiful scenery, real or imagined.  Both volunteers and students expressed how much they had enjoyed the day.
