Letter from the Editor.

Howdy everyone! If you haven't heard yet, it's snowing on the East Coast. This newsletter is based on the West Coast but by gosh and by golly, we have reporters all over this continent bringing you the freshest news like a snowball to the face.

I may have prematurely announced the beginning of winter in my previous newsletter. Truth is, it was just the beginning of Christmastime which certainly feels like winter to me. But lo and behold, the solstice is just around the corner. When I was hanging out at Machu Picchu one May, I was confused about why everyone was talking about the winter solstice. Do you ever forget the southern hemisphere is flipped? I sure do. If you are reading this south of that great equatorial divide, happy summer solstice!

Overall this week, I am still reeling from the new Taylor Swift album announcement and subsequent album release. I just didn't see it coming. I'm hoping it's a trilogy because who has ever heard of a two-album thing? Okay, a lot of people have done two-album things but she's got more quarantine left to write more. I'm not holding my breath but at the same time I am holding my breath.

Do you see what I see?
You and I could both point to a red house and call it red. But what if I am really seeing all shades of red as shades of blue but calling them red? You would never know. None of us will ever truly know if we all interpret color via our eyes the same way. Really makes you think.

Taylor Swift's 9th studio album. Frankly, it's hard to separate this album from Folklore sonically and thematically; collectively they are 31 songs that end up sounding similar. Lucky for Taylor, I don't mind these songs all sounding alike because most of them are real nice. And boy can she write a song. You should listen to Cowboy Like Me.
The Mandalorian
I like Star Wars. I like Westerns. I like Ludwig Göransson. If you like these three things, you're going to love this show. I guess I'm talking to the few people who haven't seen it. The Mandalorian is much more than Baby Yoda but it is especially good because of Baby Yoda. He walks around looking like a tiny monk and that alone is worth watching.
The Blazers
NBA is back!!! We might be 1-2 in preseason so far but that does not have me down in the slightest. I'm liking the way our new players look. Additionally, the whole team seems very nice. There is is no time to be more excited about the potential of a team than before the season begins.
