Form of the Week:
Form 5 & 6 Visit France

Forms 5 & 6’s four-day residential trip to France on 3 June was very successful. The children were able to get a good feel of French culture through the wonderful mixture of language, cultural, educational and fun activities. During their stay in France, pupils had the opportunity to visit a French primary school and practise their French language skills with children of their own age.

Find out what the pupils most enjoyed about their French residential trip.

Reception’s Visit from
The Wiggly Wild Show

"As you can see from the newsletter story about the French trip, our pupils had a fabulous time in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region the week after half term."

Read Ms Habgood's latest blog.

On Monday 16 June, Reception walked up to St. Andrew’s Church Hall, where they were joined by all sorts of wiggly and wild visitors. For their final topic in Reception, the children are learning about minibeasts (invertebrates). This year, because we have some budding herpetologists in the class, we have extended the topic to cover small reptiles and amphibians as well. And what better way to learn about these small creatures, than seeing them in the flesh and being allowed to handle them.

What Makes Norfolk
House So Special?

We were delighted to receive a visit on Monday 16 June from Steven Howard, a former Norfolk House pupil, who returned to his old school to see how it had changed.

See photos which Steven has shared from his time at Norfolk House.

Pupils in Form 6 have been taking part in a project using an app called Aurasma, which provides a way of bringing images to life as video. The pupils each provided their own content for the videos. Matthew chose to film a video with some of our staff about what makes Norfolk House so special.

Our Fantastic Sports Day!

Pre-Prep recently visited London as part of their geography and history topic on ‘London’. The pupils identified many of the key landmarks and were keen to write about what they had seen and done on their trip. Please enjoy reading a selection of their postcards. We will be uploading others to the website very soon.

Our annual sports day was held on Friday 13 June at Queenswood School. The children performed brilliantly in all races and enjoyed the day of competition. They competed in a range of activities, such as throwing, jumping, sprinting and relays and there were also fun races which included space hopper, sack racing and the ever popular egg and spoon race for KS1 students.
