International Evening

On Wednesday 12th March, we hosted an International Evening to celebrate our rich cultural diversity at Norfolk House. The evening was a great success and many thanks to all those who donated the wonderful array of international foods for the evening. It was lovely to see so many children dress in their national costumes.

Find out more, see photos and watch videos of some of the children performing.

Dance Workshops Bring Story to Life for World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day this year, the children from Reception to Form 4 took part in dance workshops bringing the story of the Enormous Crocodile to life. A professional West End dancer worked with the children to explore how to use imaginative movement, alongside music, to tell a story.

Watch a video from their collaborative workshop.

The Latest Sport Reports

As part of their work on instructions, Form 2 have been inventing ways to catch a dragon! They used time connectives, bossy verbs and adverbs to compose clear and imaginative instructions. They also used all the features of an instructional text to make sure their instructions were easy to follow.

Watch some examples of the children reading their work aloud.

Staff from schools across the Bellevue Education group have enjoyed gathering at Cluster Meetings this term.

Group meetings have already taken place for Curriculum Leaders, Heads of Early Years, Heads of Pastoral Care and English co-ordinators, helping staff at each of the nine UK schools to share best practice in specific elements of teaching and learning.

    International Evening
It's lovely to hear such wonderful feedback about the International Evening, it seems everybody really enjoyed it.

Well done to Mrs Ellison and Mrs Holt for organising the event. Thank you to all the parents who contributed, it was a huge success.

Norfolk House 40th Annual Chess Tournament
We hosted this event on 6th March at St Andrew's church hall.

Norfolk House have had some fantastic results this year so I was really surprised that we came 5th and 6th in this tournament.

I am always so impressed at how helpful and well behaved our pupils are, even with the results not going our way, both teams showed fantastic sportsmanship. Highgate won the competition and took the shield home for the second year running.
