Year 6 Aspirations

In PSHE, Form 6 have been thinking about their aspirations for their final year at Norfolk House. They thought carefully about what they would like to achieve in their academic work, sports and personal development. It will be interesting at the end of the year to look back at what they have achieved!

Welcome Reception Class!

Pre-Prep Are Learning About Toys

The staff in Reception are very impressed with the way in which the children have settled into the school routine. They are happy to come into the classroom and independently empty their bags each day. It is amazing to see how much they have learnt in just one week; the children are able to line up, raise their hand to speak and are beginning to develop some lovely friendships.

Over the course of this half term, Pre-Prep will be learning about toys past and present. To introduce our topic on toys, we had a Toy Day on Thursday 12th September, where all the children came to school dressed as a toy. As part of our Toy Day, we took part in some cross-curricular activities, including counting toys in a toy shop and writing about the teddies we had brought in from home.

On Wednesday 11th September we held our annual Student Council elections. 15 children stood for election. Each student prepared an excellent speech detailing their plans to improve the school should they be successfully elected. A range of interesting ideas were shared, including a crazy hat day, international evening and making connections with local sporting and cultural groups in the community.

We are very proud for our young musicians' achievements and we would like to congratulate them for their hard work, dedication and commitment. We also want to thank the music tutors and parents for their constant support and guidance. Ms Grammeniati would like to congratulate all pupils who took music exams last summer and share with you their results.

Message from the office
    Uniform
Please ensure all uniform is labelled and that your child has the correct blazer/coat/bag when they leave school.

Raincoats
Now we are in the Autumn Term, the children will need to wear a navy blue outside coat/raincoat. Please ensure it is labelled with your child's name.

Parking
Unfortunately, we have had a complaint from one of our neighbours about parking on Muswell Avenue. Please ensure you do not park over driveways or on the white lines.

Snacks
It is advisable to pack something for your child to eat at morning break, however in order to ensure that children eat their lunch, we do not want to have them over eating at break times.

Please ensure that morning snacks are only one of the following:
  • A piece of fruit
  • A small (nut-free) cereal bar
  • 2 small non-chocolate biscuits
  • Yoghurt or cheese snack or similar
