Form 3’s Trip to
The British Museum

Form 3 recently enjoyed a trip to the British Museum:

"On Thursday 1st November, we went to The British Museum. We went there for a day. We saw Greeks and Egyptian Mummies. We went there for our history lesson. We had a lot of fun, we drew Greek pots and we also answered questions on a clip board. We got split into three groups. We saw the inside of a Mummy! We saw Greek vases, statues, friezes and temples."

Form 2 have been learning about the Romans and recently had a Roman Focus Day to enrich their learning about the topic. This week the class went to the Verulamium Museum to gain further insight into everyday life in Roman Britain. Kaia, Lila and Daisy have shared their accounts of the Roman Focus Day and visit to the Verulamium Museum.

On Thursday 11th October, Pre-Prep stepped back in time when they visited The Museum of Childhood, which consolidated their prior learning on the history of toys. The children had an opportunity to investigate and play with some toys from over 100 years ago. They enjoyed finding out that their teachers had played with some of the ‘old’ toys.

Pyjama Day Raises Money for Children in Need

Pre-Prep have been studying texts with patterned language. To show what they had learnt, some children were asked to make an alternative ending for the Gingerbread Man, where he escapes his fate of being eaten.
Read Gracie, Max and Kiran’s alternative endings to the Gingerbread Man stories.

Pupils and teachers had a super day on Thursday when they wore their pyjamas to school to raise money for Children In Need. The children’s pyjama outfits were fabulous and they thought the teacher’s ensembles were hilarious! Thank you very much for all of the effort you put in. We have raised an impressive £340.70.
